For some of our children with communication needs, we use ‘Lámh’, a manual sign system to support their communication with adults and other children. Lámh helps children to express themselves and use eye contact while building vocabulary and motivating them to try new words. We encourage all of the children (and adults) to learn Lámh signs so that everyone is included.

We have a team of children who act as ‘Lámh Ambassadors’, visiting classrooms regularly to teach new signs and encourage regular practice.
